Hi, I'm Lesley Kantor, a Certified Menopause Doula and the founder of Menopause Office Hours

Why I Started Menopause Office Hours

Like a lot of the women I support, I'm navigating this transition in the middle of a full corporate career, and that's part of what shapes how I show up. Throughout my 25 years in brand marketing and partnerships, I've built a reputation for creating clear, custom plans for the teams I lead. I bring that same approach to the women I support through MOH: information that's accurate, evidence-based, and designed to rebuild trust in your care.

I'm an information seeker, so nothing put me on my heels more than missing my own body's signs that I was in full-blown perimenopause. Angst. Irritability. Sleep issues. Low libido. I had said to my doctors, “I just don’t feel like myself,” long before that phrase became shorthand for perimenopause. The response was always some version of “add more exercise, get more sleep, don’t worry.”

When I finally had the facts and asked to try HRT, I got bounced from primary care to various specialists. I was offered everything but what I was asking for, including creams from Amazon and expensive laser treatments, and kept being told I was too young to be concerned with the menopause transition. Every appointment left me with more questions and no plan of action. I started doubting my own instincts. Then I got mad.

Eventually, I found a urologist and sexual medicine specialist who listened, believed me, and advocated for me harder than I knew how to advocate for myself. That's when I understood: the evidence existed. What was missing was the information getting to the women who needed it, and doctors with the training to put it into practice.

Finding great perimenopause and menopause care shouldn’t have to be so hard, but the reality right now is that it is.

So, I became a Certified Menopause Doula and built Menopause Office Hours around one mission: putting accurate, evidence-based information about perimenopause and menopause into the hands of every woman who needs it, because informed women get to better care faster.

A few things I know for sure

  • Nobody should have to figure this out alone at 3 am

  • Excellent perimenopause and menopause care exists. Most women were never taught what to look for

  • Women need to be believed the first time they say something's not right with their body

  • Closing the gap between what the data and evidence say and what happens in an appointment can change everything

  • Having information gets you to better care, faster

My Approach

I’m not a doctor, but I’ll help you get what you need from yours

My work sits alongside your medical care, never in place of it. I don't diagnose or prescribe. My role is to arm you with the facts about your perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms, so you can walk into a conversation with your clinician ready to advocate for exactly what you need.

Think of me as the person who translates expert-led data and evidence-driven information into a plan you can use, and helps you prepare for the conversation ahead.

One-on-one sessions are available virtually for women anywhere. Group events and community gatherings are available virtually or in person for gatherings in Los Angeles.
